Busy Bees
We offer a full day's care for your child within the nursery environment. This works by having a nursery session in the morning or afternoon and 'topping up' this session by paying for a full day. If your child has a morning nursery place they will be in 'Busy Bees' for the afternoon, if your child has an afternoon nursery place they will be in 'Busy Bees' for the morning. The half a day that your child is in Busy Bees will be spent doing lots of exciting activities that are different to the activities carried out during their nursery session.
We focus on the topic for the term as well as the theme each week which includes shape, number, letter and colour of the week. We spend a considerable amount of time on developing literacy and numeracy skills. This includes phonics and name writing as well as counting, number and shape recognition in order to challenge and encourage children to develop skills further. The children particularly enjoy the creative activities that Ms Graves plans for!
The children have a hot healthy school dinner, this includes a pudding, as part of the Busy Bees session. The total cost of a session is £10 per day. The children are taken over to the dinner hall at lunchtime and supervised by Ms Graves. The menu is displayed on the entrance door. There are paper copies available and texts can be sent to parents to let you know of any changes to the menu.
